Learn the clock with Hama
- 1Assemble 4 buildable bead tiles into a large square bead tile.
- 2Pearl the dial in the pattern and shape you desire.
- 3Place an ironing paper over the pearls and iron the pearl plate together. Let it cool under pressure. Please watch the video on how to best iron your pearls.
- 4In the same way, you add numbers and hands that you iron and then let cool under pressure. You can place several figures at the same time on your bead plate, but remember to leave spaces so that they do not flow together when you iron the beads.
- 5Now it’s time to assemble all the parts of the clock. Start by gluing the numbers with a glue gun and hot melt glue. Keep in mind that the glue and tip of the glue gun get very hot.
- 6To assemble the hands, first thread a bead onto a piece of elastic thread. Fold the wire in half and thread it through the holes on the hands and further through the center of the dial. Tighten a little and make a knot at the back. Now you can move the hands and make them point to any time.
- 7Now the fine self-designed watch is ready for use by little curious explorers.
Use pipe beads to teach children the time. It will be a fun and educational game to first get to see your own watch and then learn what it shows. By letting the children bead their own toys, you stimulate their learning, train their fine motor skills, give them tools for logical thinking and problem solving. Let your imagination run free among colors and shapes!
