Artkal , also known as Hama Beads, are practical plastic beads used to design unique and original ideas . Thanks to a base, which can be of different shapes and sizes, and the heat of the iron, the beads will solidify and give life to a creation that can be used in many different variations. At Christmas, iron-on beads are ideal for creating quick decorations for the home and Christmas tree. Today I will show you 5 easy ways to get Pyssla snowflakes ; one of the most classic elements linked to Christmas and the winter season.
Artkal snowflake tutorial
Necessary
- White Pyssla beads
- Round base for Pyssla
- Iron
- Greaseproof paper
- Any colored ribbons and gift paper
The procedure is really simple and banal; like all crafts with beads to be ironed, you will have to arrange the beads on the round base following the diagram, place the baking paper on the surface, and, taking care that none of the beads come into direct contact with the iron, iron the Pyssla in so that they fuse together with the heat. Leave to cool for a few minutes and our snowflake created with iron-on beads will be ready to be used.
With the addition of ribbons or a few drops of hot glue, these very simple snowflakes with Pyssla can be used in different original variations:
- For Christmas dinner, you can roll up a napkin, place it on the plate and secure the position by wrapping it with a ribbon and the Pyssla snowflake
- Wrap the snowflake with twisted twine and tie it around a simple gift package to give it that extra touch of personality
- Glue the snowflake onto colored cardboard or Kraft paper to obtain a personalized Christmas greeting card
- To obtain a very quick place card: tie a ribbon around the snowflake, apply a strip of washi tape, write the guest’s name on it with a marker and place it at the base of the glass
- During an aperitif at home, use snowflakes as coasters for your guests; a useful and scenic idea at the same time!
- By adding a ribbon to the top of the snowflake, you can easily hang it on the Christmas tree
Well, now that you have discovered the many variations to create a snowflake with iron-on beads , all that remains is to create them and decide how to best use them!
Happy creating and… merry Christmas!
